Base Version: 2.0 Build 2003.06.08
Last Updated: ?

The version used here is upp_2.00_build_2003.06.08, which, atm this tutorial was written, is the latest pre-release for UPP2. It's possible that in the final release the looks might change a bit, but it shouldn't make much difference.

Contents: Importerkaspersky file server | Acros | Backup

kaspersky file serverImporter
When you load the importer module for the first time, UPP will ask you if you want to import settings from a previous script
Importer Msg

Importer Dialog
Click yes in this dialog (assuming that you do, in fact, want to import settings).

From here you can import settings from Polaris, Excursion, UPP and sysreset. (An invision importer might be added later)

Note that in the UPP tab, you can only import from UPP1.5 versions, not from earlier pre-releases of UPP. If you want to save your settings throughout different pre-builds of 2.0, manually copy the UPP\system\settings dir from the old to the new directory.

Also note that if you imported from another script you should still go through the rest of the UPP options and set them up; UPP has a lot of new options, and with just importing from another script most stuff will probably not work as well as it could, if at all.

Now I'll go trough the most used modules, and explain a bit about their various options. If you didn't load a module I'm talking about, just ignore me :P

kaspersky file serverAcros
Acro stands for acronym. If you're a happy person and type 'lol' a lot, you might wanna output 'Laughing Out Loud' every time you type 'lol'. To enable this, check on the enable box.

In the left box type 'lol', in the right one 'Laughing Out Loud', and click 'add'. (In both boxes you can use colour/bold codes like ctrl-k, ctrl-b, ctrl-u)

kaspersky file serverBackup
With the backup module you can easily make backups of your settings, restore backups, or switch between multiple setups.

Click the 'add' button to create a 'snapshot' off all your current UPP settings. The file will be zipped up and saved into the UPP\backup folder. If you want to reload the saved settings later on, just click load.

If you enable 'create restore point on start', UPP will make a backup of your settings every time you start UPP.
